Free WiFi “the single most important thing a publican can have”

For today’s digitally-savvy and social media-aware consumer, free WiFi is the single most important thing that a publican can have says Niall Harbinson of Simply Zesty.

As service is the first point of interaction with the customer, service must be first class so that the customer will subsequently describe it, not as excellent, but awesome!

So believes Niall Harbinson of the Simply Zesty digital media agency.

In the age of Instagram and facebook, what your customers think of your pub can be more effective than advertising in the local papers, he explained.

And for today’s digitally-savvy and social media-aware consumer, free WiFi is the single most important thing that a publican can have, he said.

“You’re at a disadvantage if you don’t have free WiFi,” he told an audience of international Irish publicans attending the recent Irish Pubs Global conference and he advised, “Social media simply tells a story so tell your story through it by using a young graduate who’s social media-savvy.”
