Dealz is set to open two stores this Saturday and another store on Saturday, 10 October as the discount retailer pushes ahead with its transformation by opening three new stores in one month.

Both Roscommon and Kildare stores will feature a Pep&Co shop-in-shop offering family fashion and the new Pep&Co Home range, including towels, cushions, throws and ornaments, which launched in August.

The new openings come just weeks after Dealz announced the biggest transformation programme in its history, including refreshing and refurbishing stores and expanding into new categories.

Roscommon

Dealz is opening a new store at Roscommon Retail Park, Circular Road, Ardsallagh More, Roscommon. The premises were formerly occupied by a ToGo Shop.

The new Dealz will include an expanded Pep&Co shop-in-shop offering kidswear and clothes for mum and dad as well as the new Pep&Co Home range.

It will employ 18 colleagues and occupies more than 4,500 sq. ft of space.

Mitchelstown

The arrival of Dealz to Lower Cork Street in Mitchelstown brings shoppers a wide range of well-known brands and Dealz own label products, from everyday essentials to health and beauty, as well as seasonal offerings including home décor and gifting ranges.

This is the tenth Dealz store to open in Cork since Dealz came to Ireland in 2011. The new store is part of a major investment in Ireland by Dealz with more stores to open in the coming weeks and months.

The store will occupy 3,500 sq. ft and will employ around 20 colleagues. The premises were previously occupied by Centra.

Kildare

The new store, Unit 20 Curragh Road, Kildare will offer a full range of Pep&Co clothes and homeware.

The 6,000 sq. ft store will complement the existing two Dealz stores in Kildare and will employ 30 colleagues. The previous tenant was Lidl, who moved to another location in the town.

Good news treble

In a press statement, Dealz described the investment as “a vote of confidence in each of the locations and part of Dealz’ commitment to bring its value offer to more customers by opening in new towns or expanding in existing towns”.

Dealz recently opened a store in Rathfarnham, Dublin and reports this store has seen record sales since opening. Sales of Pep&Co have been a strong contributor to the store reaching above and beyond it’s sales targets.

Dealz retail country manager, Olivia McLoughlin said the new store launches are “a sign of our ambition to grow the Dealz offering in Ireland”.

“Additional job creation and investment in these new stores is part of our renewed commitment to Ireland and the communities we serve,” McLoughlin said.

Dealz has operated as an essential service through Covid-19, providing support to local communities across Ireland. With these new openings, Dealz states it “looks forward to being part of a vibrant retail community, creating local jobs and bringing great value to savvy Irish shoppers”.
