Ireland’s largest discount retailer Dealz is set to open an additional three new Irish stores, bringing the portfolio in Ireland to an impressive 100 stores. Located in Dublin, Cork and Donegal, the new stores will open on Thursday, 16 July 2020.

With unemployment expected to rise to 7.5% this year, the new stores bring positive news as Dealz will create over 75 new jobs in Ireland with an investment of £1 million into the local Irish economy.

Bolstering the brand’s Dublin portfolio, Dealz will open its 16th Dublin store, located in Rathfarnham Shopping Centre.  Taking over the lease from previous tenant Penneys, Dealz will bring back discount fashion for local shoppers.

Pep&Co will be the centrepiece of Dealz’ new Rathfarnham store – its exciting family fashion brand that launched in Ireland 18 months ago, Stylish, but affordable, Pep&Co is part of major changes that Dealz reports is growing the brand and bringing more of what people buy week-in, week-out to the store.

Dealz retail country manager Olivia McLoughlin said opening three new stores on the same day is “a signal of our ambition to grow”.

“Customers have fallen in love with the wider ranges at Dealz during lockdown – we stayed open and proudly delivered our promise of amazing value, despite the circumstances,” McLoughlin said.

“Additional job creation and investment in new stores is part of our renewed commitment to Ireland and the communities we serve,” she added.

With stores also set to open on the same day in Clonakilty, Cork and Buncrana, Donegal, Dealz value will reach an even wider Irish audience of savvy shoppers. The new openings bring the total number of Dealz and Poundland stores on the island of Ireland to over 100.

Both Buncrana and Clonakilty will also feature Dealz fashion brand Pep&Co alongside the wide range of well-known brands and Dealz own label products.
