Sean Hoyne of Swifts Bar & Restaurant in Kildare’s Main Street won the Best Long Drink Cocktail award for his creation ‘Smile on the Rocks’.

The initiative, between the DIT’s Bar Management Studies Department and IDL Pernod Ricard,  attracted 90 mixologists.

The cocktails were based on IDLPR’s premium spirits and liqueurs and points were awarded for the appearance, aroma, taste and the commercial appeal of the cocktail.

Special Certificates of participation were also presented to all 90 mixologists by Liam Sparks, IDLPR’s Brand Manger & Mixologist.
