Centra is the leading convenience retailer at Blas na hÉireann 2020

Centra won an impressive 36 accolades at this year’s Blas na hÉireann Irish Food Awards, held over the weekend.
Celebrating the very best of Irish food and drink, Blas na hÉireann, are the largest food awards on the island and sees producers across Ireland competing to take home a Blas accreditation.
The awards, announced virtually on Saturday evening, saw leading convenience retailer Centra take home 11 gold, 14 silver and 11 bronze. Centra’s wins include 17 products from the Inspired By Centra range, expertly created to help make everyday moments special without compromise on taste or quality.
Award winners within the Inspired By Centra range include; Rotisserie Chicken, Carrot, Orange & Turmeric Juice and Overnight Oats.
Other key highlights include; Inspired By Centra Angus Striploin Steak, Made in Store Ham, Egg & Slaw Salad, Carmel Bites and Chocolate 5’ Cake.
Ray Kelly, interim managing director of Centra said the wins affirmed the high quality of Irish products available on Centra shelves.
“Blas na Éireann is the biggest blind tasting competition in Ireland and we’re very proud to have taken 36 accolades at this year’s awards. This is testament to Centra’s high quality producers,” Kelly said.
“Only launched in 2018, we’re delighted to see 17 winners from our Inspired By Centra range which uses the highest quality home grown ingredients from trusted suppliers and has become a firm favourite with customers,” he added. “The standard each year is exceptional and winning these awards acknowledges the top-quality Irish produce available at our stores nationwide.”
