Butchers final at SHOP 2009
Joining the International Cheese Awards at SHOP this year, the Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland will host their National Sausage and Puddings final

Ireland’s biggest food and drink event of the year, SHOP, has announced that Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland will hold its National Sausage and Puddings Final at the 2009 show.
As ‘the’ show for Ireland’s food, drink and retail solutions sectors, SHOP has gained a reputation for attracting the key companies in Ireland, who benefit from a visitor base of 4,000 decision makers in the food and drink sector. This year’s event will take place from 28 to 30 September at the RDS Simmonscourt, Dublin 4.
Pat Brady, chief executive, Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland, commented: “ACBI is delighted to have joined forces with SHOP, in what we hope, will be a great couple of days for our own members, as well as an opportunity for other retailers to catch a glimpse of the world of craft butchers.”
Joining the National Sausage and Puddings Final will be the International Cheese Awards and the popular Product of the Show awards. New additions to this year’s SHOP also include Forecourt @ SHOP, a dedicated forecourt and fuel area; the Energy Management Pavilion @ SHOP, advising retailers on energy efficiency; and Fresh @ SHOP, a showcase of fresh and healthy produce developed in response to changing customer buying habits.
“92% of SHOP visitors in 2008 said that they will return to the show in 2009. This excellent feedback combined with the addition of Associated Craft Butchers and the return of Forecourt @ Shop, all point to a very successful SHOP 2009,” commented Garret Buckley, joint managing director of organisers Expo Events.
