Big win for Tesco Ireland at 2019 FreeFrom Awards
Tesco has won three top accolades alongside several individual product awards at the 2019 FreeFrom Awards, which recognise the achievments of retailers and producers in this rapidly growing field.

The 2019 FreeFrom Awards event took place on 10 May at the Grand Hotel in Malahide, recognising the achievements of producers and retailers in the rapidly-growing field of free-from products.
Tesco Ireland won in three of the major categories. For the third year running, the retail giant was awarded Product Range of the Year, along with the award for Innovation of the Year (for its Free From Soft Cheese) and Product of the Year (Tesco Free From Ice Cream Chocolate Sticks). Judges at the event said the awards went to Tesco in recognition of its ongoing commitment to innovation, availability of specialised food and for offering the most comprehensive product range for sufferers of Coeliac disease in Ireland.
Furthermore, alongside its wins in the main categories, Tesco also received 34 individual product awards – seven gold, nine silver, 11 bronze and seven Merit product awards.
Joe Manning, commercial director for Tesco Ireland said the company is delighted to have retained our Product Range of the Year title for the third year running and to add to it with the extra awards.
“Innovation is a key focus in everything we do,” Manning said. “and our teams are very passionate about continuing to develop our offering. The FreeFrom awards are a true testament to this commitment and to Tesco’s mission to serve our customers a little better every day.”
