Bacardi grew awareness of cocktails in its Get Together arena at this year’s Electric Picnic in Stradbally.

During the music and outdoor weekend Bacardi’s bartenders’ flair flowered as the 100-strong team mashed 300,000 mint leaves, lacerated 200 limes and tinkled out 17 tonnes of ice in serving up Mojitos.
The Get Together arena took over eight days to construct and saw 12 tonnes of scaffolding based with six tonnes of ballast.
It selected seven tonnes of set build materials and 12 articulated lorries lined-up to do the job which required 24 people and put up 120 litres of paint, sinking more than 4,000 screws, lavishing the place with 600 lightbulbs…. Oh, and planting one seven metre tall Palm Tree….
