Aldi opens new Roscrea store creating 20 new jobs

Aldi Stores (Ireland) today opened a new store in Roscrea, Co. Tipperary, located on Gantly Road.

The new Roscrea store which  has created 20 new jobs,  is Aldi’s seventh store in Co. Tipperary.  This brings the total number of Aldi stores in Ireland to 115.  The first Aldi stores in Ireland opened in November 1999.

To celebrate the opening of the new store, Aldi served up breakfast delights and tasty treats throughout the morning.  All samples were prepared using Aldi products, many of which are sourced from Irish suppliers.

The day was filled with family fun and festivities, with entertainers providing face painting, balloon modelling, music and games for the kids, while five lucky Aldi shoppers scooped €100 each in Aldi shopping vouchers.

Speaking at the store opening, Michael Feehan, manager of Aldi’s new Roscrea store said: “Buying fresh, quality Irish foods in Roscrea just got easier thanks to the opening of our new Aldi store.  Each Aldi store we have opened so far has been a fantastic success and we are looking forward to serving the local community.”
