Aramark team receives Healthy Eating Award

The catering team at Peamount Healthcare has won a prestigious award on behalf Aramark, recognising its succcess in providing visitors with a range of healthy and beneficial food, through best practice in its area.

The Irish Heart Foundation has awarded its Gold Standard Award to Aramark’s catering team serving Peamount Healthcare, in recognition of its efforts in providing a wide range of healthy food choices for its customers, as well as healthy practices and choices.

“This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful accolade for Kevin Conroy and the restaurant team, which does an exceptional job in providing delicious and healthy meals on a daily basis,” said Shane Flynn, Aramark’s MD for Food Services and Facilities Management. “Eating healthily is very important and we will continue to develop our menu options and promote healthy eating to our customers and we look forward to maintaining the gold award in the future.”

Elbha Purcell, head of dietetics and wellbeing, Aramark Northern Europe agreed. “We are delighted to be recognised by the Irish Heart Foundation,” she said. “Our menus have been well received by both patients and staff because it makes staying healthy easier everyday with healthy, nutritious and delicious options.

“We are so proud to win this prestigious award and would like to extend our highest congratulations to the team on the ground,” she added.
