McDonalds celebrates 50 years of the Big Mac

The Big Mac will celebrate its 50th birthday with special releases. The Mac Jr. and Grand Big Mac will be available in restaurants across Ireland until March 20. The Mac Jr has all same iconic ingredients (with one less patty), while the Grand Big Mac offers the one-of-a-kind taste but in a larger size. The Big Mac made its debut in Ireland in 1977, and these new offerings will provide a fun new twist on the classic burger for fans young and old. 

Lidl to make €200m investment in Ireland this year

Lidl is reported to be making its single biggest-ever investment in Ireland in the coming months, with up to €200m set aside for a range of projects. These include a new distribution centre in Co. Kildare, along with new stores in Dublin, Meath, Sligo and elsewhere.

Aldi’s cruelty-free charcoal range has beauty world talking

Aldi’s new Lacura range of cleansers, mud masks, facewipes and other beauty treatments hit shelves this week, and promises to get the seal of approval from beauty fans; as of January, the Lacura range carries the Leaping Bunny certification, which means it’s not tested on animals.
