Zambrero, a healthy quick-service restaurant chain and humanitarian enterprise, recently opened two new Dublin-based locations.

Spearheaded by former Leinster rugby pro, Darragh Fanning, the Australian chain, which specialises in fresh, healthy Mexican food,  opened the doors of its fourth Irish restaurant and first franchise this week, located at Dublin’s Beacon South Quarter, Sandyford.

Zambrero will also add some fire to mealtimes on the northside of the city, when it opens Zambrero Parnell Street mid-November.

Fourth and fifth stores

“The opening of our fourth and fifth stores in the heart of the capital is testament to the huge demand for our offering and the uniqueness it brings to Ireland’s food scene,” said Darragh Fanning, general manager, Zambrero Ireland.

Menu choices include slow-cooked meats marinated with spices and natural herbs with accompaniments ranging from crisp cos lettuce to fiery jalapenos, six speciality sauces exclusive to Zambrero and a range of tasty sides. Zambrero also features black rice in its menus; a low-calorie, gluten-free grain.

With a network of over 200 quick-service restaurant, the Zambrero brand says it is wholly focused on the freshness and nutritional value of the food it serves. Zambrero Beacon South Quarter is operated by franchisees Cameron and Marina Matthews.

 Coco Mexico arrives in Ireland

What’s more, to coincide with the opening of its Beacon South Quarter franchise, Zambrero exclusively launched its brand-new Mexican barista and chocolatier offering, Coco Mexico, which features delicately roasted coffee and chocolatey drinks.

Zambrero – Mexican with a mission

The ‘Mexican with a mission’ tagline stems from the company’s bid to help eradicate world hunger. For each meal purchased in a Zambrero restaurant, Zambrero donates a plate of nutritious food to the developing world through its ‘Plate 4 Plate’ initiative. To date, almost 18 million meals have been donated by Zambrero.
