Compass Group Ireland gives €2.6m contract to Aurivo Consumer Fooods

Food and support services company Compass Group Ireland, continues to expand its Irish supplier portfolio with the appointment of Aurivo Consumer Foods. Aurivo will supply a full range of milk and cream products under Aurivo’s Connacht Gold and Organic for Us brands to all of the group’s units across Ireland.

The contract is valued at €2.6m and the company says the move reinforces its commitment to working with Irish suppliers. Employing over 4,500 people on the island of Ireland, Compass Group Ireland currently operates over 250 units and serves over 100,000 meals a day.

Aurivo Consumer Foods is part of Aurivo Co-operative Society and is one of Ireland’s leading co-operatives, employing more than 700 people in Ireland. It is a global supplier of innovative, value added, sustainable dairy ingredients and consumer food solutions. Aurivo has a portfolio of leading and profitable dairy brands including its prominent milk brand – Connacht Gold, in addition to Donegal Creameries and Organic for Us.

The company’s Organic for Us milk brand is farmed solely from An Grianan, Co. Donegal Ireland’s largest organic farm. Aurivo has 1,000 dairy farmers across the region supplying milk for its dairy products.

This year we will buy 2.2m litres of quality Irish milk through Aurivo which is sourced directly from more than 1,000 Irish dairy farms which further demonstrates our commitment to working with great Irish suppliers.”
