Ryan’s SuperValu Togher, Co. Cork was recently named ‘National SuperValu Store of the Year’ for 2026, while also taking home the award for ‘Best Large Store of the Year’ 2026, recognising the store’s exceptional performance across food leadership, customer service and community engagement.

Ryan’s SuperValu Togher was shortlisted for the prestigious accolade alongside other finalist stores from around the country at the SuperValu National Conference, held at The Great Southern Hotel, Killarney, Co. Kerry.

In what was a highly competitive final, Ryan’s SuperValu Togher stood out for its consistently outstanding standards and the unique strengths of SuperValu’s independent retail model.

The finalists were adjudicated by independent competition judge and retail consultant Paul Ellison, who highlighted that SuperValu’s combination of passionate local ownership, deep community connection and national-scale support remains a model that sets SuperValu apart in Irish retail.

This award recognises the exceptional standards achieved by the team at Ryan’s SuperValu Togher, with standout performance noted across key categories including fresh food offering, food leadership and quality, people management and, most notably, community involvement.

The store was commended for the way it supports local clubs, charities and organisations, reflecting SuperValu’s longstanding role not just as a retailer, but as a vital part of the communities it serves.

Dedicated team

Receiving the award, Liam Ryan, Ryan’s SuperValu paid tribute to their dedicated team and the ongoing support of the store’s loyal customers.
