For every bottle of environmentally-friendly Yali Chilean wine sold here a donation is being given to BirdWatch Ireland.
Available through Carry Out & Costcutter outlets, Felipe Tosso, Chief Winemaker of the Viña Ventisquero vineyard where Yali is produced, was in Cork recently as a guest of the Barry Group, exclusive distributers of Yali wine here, to conduct tasting sessions for Carry Out and Costcutter customers and to meet with the brand’s eco-partner BirdWatch Ireland to review the work being done on its behalf.?Yali is named after the valley in which the winery, Viña Ventisquero, is located. It’s also the name of the surrounding wetland where a quarter of all bird species in Chile may be found.
Felipe explained, “Inspired by the Yali Wetlands, the wines in the Yali range are intrinsically linked to nature, with meticulous eco-friendly care being taken in all aspects of the winery from wine-making to packaging. We are very proud of this partnership between BirdWatch Ireland and our eco-friendly Yali brand because we share the same commitment to the environment and we learn day-by-day of their experience on how to protect bird species within their ecosystem”.
Sarah O’Mahony, Marketing Manager with the Barry Group, added, “Yali is a world-class wine brand with a conscience”.
