Work commenced on Aldi’s new €10m Tuam, Co. Galway store last Friday, in a move which will create up to 30 new permanent jobs in the locality.

Located on Ballygaddy Road, the environmentally-friendly store is expected to open in autumn 2022.

Aldi is continuing to expand its Irish store network, currently operating nine stores in County Galway.

Once completed, the Tuam store floor-space will stand at 1315sqm, and will be constructed in Aldi’s award-winning Project Fresh design, being powered by 100% green electricity, with 97 car parking spaces for customers and four free-to-use electric vehicle charging points.
