19 May 2011
West Coast Cooler Citra, a sparkling citrus wine cooler with hints of lemon and lime, is now available in the on- and off-trade nationwide.? ?According to Emma Donnellan, Markeing Director at Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard, “West Coast Cooler Citra has all the citrusy hints of Summer in a bottle and is deliciously refreshing and light, the perfect drink to enjoy while relaxing in the sun with friends! It has a crisp, uplifting taste with hints of exotic citrus fruits, ending with an effervescent kick, making it a refreshing alternative to wine, beer and cider. At four per cent ABV its strength is similar to beer but lower than wine.?
?“It’s similar to a spritzer but has an added twist of exotic fruit flavors. Its light and effervescent character reflects the personality of the brand. West Coast Cooler Citra is the latest chic edition to the West Coast Cooler collection.”? ?
To celebrate the launch a survey was commissioned to find out what Irish girls want this Summer! It girl about town, model and actress Vogue Wilson, along with actress and writer Amy Huberman, were the joint Number One choices amongst girls when asked who they’d like to join their group of girl friends on a night out.
Irish actor Colin Farrell topped the polls when the girls were asked which Irish bachelor they’d like to have buy them a drink.
And given the citrus flavour of lemon and lime, the citrus perfume that most respondents said they’ll be wearing this Summer is Jo Malone’s Lime, Basil & Mandarin Cologne.
As for girl-power – the female singer that most girls would like to see live this Summer is Adele.? ?At an RSP of €5.75 for the 750ml version, West Coast Cooler Citra joins West Coast Cooler Original and West Coast Cooler Rosé in pubs and off-licences.
Cluster packs are available too at RSP of €8.35.
