WellFest 2018 announces even more speakers

WellFest 2018 takes place this 12 and 13 May in Dublin's Royal Hospital Kilmainham, and ahead of the big event, organisers have confirmed the schedule and revealed the last round of speakers to be added.

Ahead of WellFest 2018 in Dublin on May 12 and 13, the last round of presenters and stars have been added to an already busy line-up. Returning for a third time to the WellFood area are the “Happy Pear Twins”, who will be joined by food company Currabinny, which was founded by social media sensation James Kavanagh and his partner William Murray.

Returning for the third time to the popular WellFood area are famous Greystone twins David and Stephen Flynn of The Happy Pear. Joining them at WellFood will be food company Currabinny – founded by Snapchat star James Kavanagh and his partner William Murray, online fitness trainer Brian Keane and health & fitness guru Maeve Madden.

Meanwhile, a number of new zones have been added to WellFest for 2018, including:

  • WellMum, in association with The Stork Box: A dedicated area focused on pregnancy and parenting with baby yoga, antenatal Pilates and infant nutrition.
  • WellMind, in association with BMW: Curated by performance psychologist Gerry Hussey, featuring various speakers in psychology and mindfulness.
  • Spin, in association with McSport: A brand new Spinning zone and Ireland’s largest outdoor Spinning tent with 50 bikes that will host classes throughout the weekend.
  • WellSoul: focused on the power of meditation and mindfulness.

Katie Ryan, co-founder of WellFest, said the entire team is really excited for WellFest 2018 in its new home, the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin. “This will be our fourth WellFest event,” Ryan said, “and we are extremely proud of how quickly it has grown. The event is a ‘must attend’ event on the calendar for all health, fitness and wellness fans.”

Aidan Power, director of customer, brand & marketing for KBC which sponsors WellFest, said the group is excited to partner with Wellfest for its strongest line up to date. “We understand how important wellbeing is to our customers and the communities we live and work in.” Power said. “We also believe that KBC has an active role to play in helping people access initiatives as inspiring as Wellfest.”

During the two day event, KBC will host a range of exclusive classes at the KBC WellGood area including boogie bounce classes; a fab, fun and extremely fat burning exercise class done on a mini trampoline with a safety bar choreographed to pumping music. In addition to this fitness specialist Tom Dalton will host two thirty-minute boxercise classes. The weekend schedule offers a range of activities and classes that can be enjoyed by all including the line-up of exciting classes at the KBC WellGood area.
