CSNA founding member Noel Kelly of Kelly’s Newsagents, Monasterevin closed his shop on Saturday 15 April “after 49 wonderful years of serving the community of Monasterevin”.

The CSNA which reported the news in its weekly e-zine, took the opportunity to wish founding member and past president of the association Noel Kelly all the best in his retirement. ShelfLife would like to heartily share this sentiment.

Noel Kelly held the office of President of the NFRN in Ireland during 1987 until himself and a collection formed the IRNA in 1988, of which he was elected chairman in 1988. He was elected to the office of president of IRNA for 1995-96, he was also elected as President of CSNA for 2016-2017.

At CSNA Kildare branch level, Noel has held the office of president and secretary on a number of occasions.

CSNA president John Paul Lonergan and the National Executive also thanked Noel Kelly for his many years of dedicated service to the association and to his fellow members. The association wished him and his family all the best for the future.

“After 49 wonderful years of serving the community of Monasterevin, Kelly’s Newsagents will be closing our doors one final time on Saturday 15 April,” the owners said.

‘While we will miss all of your lovely faces and the many chats and laughs, we are ready to take a little rest and see where life takes us next!

‘Thanks to each and every one of you who shopped local throughout the years and helped to employ so many of our local young people during that time.”
