Value Centre Sligo has just completed a major re-haul following a €600,000 investment from owner BWG Foods.

The cash and carry, now 30 years in business, has been completely renovated and expanded to 25,000 sq ft. To celebrate this landmark occasion, a fun family day was held on Thursday 5 December along with extra value special offers for those walking into the cash and carry on the day.

The new look site boasts an enhanced range of products, with an emphasis on value and special offers, and a new layout to improve the shopping experience for customers.

Value Centre Sligo provides a walk-in and delivered service to hospitality, licensed trade and retail customers across Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal and Roscommon.

John Moane, managing director of BWG Wholesale Division said: "Value Centre Sligo is a vital part of our national network, catering for local businesses right across the north west region for over 30 years. We believe it is necessary to invest in order to grow and that is why we are carrying out these significant works, which ultimately will lead to improved service, range, and value for customers."

Located in the Finisklin Business Park, Value Centre Sligo is headed up by branch manager Jacquie Conlon and employs 13 people locally.

Jacquie Conlon said, "This upgrade project is very exciting for us and has arisen out of the need for increased capacity and efficiencies. We have serviced local businesses in the north west for over three decades and we look forward to serving our loyal customers into the future from our new improved cash and carry. I encourage you all to come in and have a look around and see for yourself what we have on offer."

Value Centre Sligo provides an extensive offering across all major product categories including grocery, alcohol and tobacco, catering and non-food, such as health and beauty and household. It also provides customers with a full range of branded and own brand product options via its exclusive own-brand ranges – Chef’s Kitchen for the catering and hospitality industry, and Family Value for the retail trade.

With 22 branches in locations across Ireland, Value Centre supplies in excess of 22,000 customers. BWG Wholesale is a division of BWG Foods and is comprised of Value Centre as well as BWG Foodservice – a nationwide, multi-temperature, full-line foodservice business.
