New State-of-the-art Value Centre for WicklowWicklow has a new state-of-the-art Value Centre following a €2m investment by the Wholesale Division of BWG Group to upgrade and relocate the facility from its previous location.

The new 20,000sqm facility, located at Glebe Business Park, Port Access Road in Wicklow town, will give customers such as independent retailers better accessibility and more options in terms of product range.

Commenting on the new site John Moane, managing director of BWG Wholesale Division said: “Wicklow is an important strategic location in BWG Wholesale’s country-wide branch network, servicing key geographical areas on the East coast, and that is why we have invested a substantial figure in the upgrading and relocation of the facility.”

“The Wicklow team, headed up by Pat O’Brien, did a fantastic job in making this a seamless transfer between premises. Our customers stand to benefit from better accessibility not to mention the most modern and up-to-date premise and can be assured of the same great service, with all existing staff transferring from our old location,” said Moane.

BWG acquired the Wicklow cash and carry business in 2006 and this well-established and successful outlet has serviced the county for the past 19 years.

Mayor of Wicklow, Irene Waters, lent her support at the recent launch event, along with employees, customers and their families, who were celebrating the Value Centre being open for business. n
