UWM to distribute Taylor’s Port island-wide

United Wine Merchants has been appointed distributor for Taylor’s Port for the Republic of Ireland with immediate effect.

The company has managed Taylor’s account in Northern Ireland since 1997 where it has grown the Premium Port wine category. Here, it hopes to grow sales within the traditional channels and larger grocers, according to UWM’s Managing Director Martin McAuley while the Sales & Marketing Manager for Taylor’s Port Chris Forbes pointed out that the company already distributes Taylor’s Fonseca and Croft brands here, making it a one-stop shop for premium Port, he added.
