Topaz, which has over 330 service stations nationwide, has seen its coffee sales rise by 20% over the last two years as consumer confidence strengthens and the on-the-go sector sees steady growth.

The figures, released at the launch of the company’s new Breakfast Campaign in Dublin, shows that Topaz is now selling five million cups of coffee a year.

As well as radio advertising the new  Topaz Breakfast Campaign will also involve digital and social media platforms, including daily giveaways on its Facebook page.

Paul Candon, marketing and corporate services director said the main purpose of the campaign is to make customers aware of the range of breakfast options now available at Topaz service stations.

He said: "Enhancing the customer experience is what Topaz is all about and we want to create awareness of our excellent breakfast offering. Our Fairtrade coffee is hugely popular with our customers but we also offer an increasing range of top quality breakfast options to people on the move from seven am every morning."

The campaign was launched by Today FM radio presenter Louise Duffy. Louise, who presents her own radio show from five to seven in the morning five days a week pointed out at the launch that she understood better than most the importance of a hearty breakfast and that all important cup of coffee.
