Velo Coffee Roasters has appointed Tom Gannon as a new non-executive director.

With years of experience in the food industry, Gannon brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the organisation. The team are now confident that his systematic success across brands such as Red Bull, Fulfill & Cali Cali will accelerate Velo Coffee’s growth to the next level.

Velo is continuously pushing towards growth and development. The team has grown every year and they are constantly working to build and improve the brand and the product. In this next stage for the Cork roastery, the team plan to further expand the brand across Ireland and internationally with Tom Gannon’s guidance.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tom to the Velo Coffee team,” said the company’s Rob Horgan. “Tom’s extensive experience in FMCG and his proven track record of success makes him the ideal candidate to help steer our growth. We are lucky to be able to tap into his knowledge and experience.”

“I am delighted to join Velo and am looking forward to collaborating with the talented team here to drive the company forward,” said Gannon. “I am confident that my experience and my passion for Velo will enable me to make a significant impact at Velo Coffee Roasters.”

To accelerate this growth, Velo has started working with Tennant and Ruttle as the brand’s distribution partner.

Tennant and Ruttle is a leading FMCG sales, marketing and distribution company servicing both ROI and NI markets across retail, wholesale and foodservice channels. The T&R team have enabled the successful brands they represent to achieve and maintain number one positions through commitment and experience.

“It has been great to work alongside the entire team at Tennant and Ruttle. You can see their excitement about the brand, and we are already seeing the growth across retail,” added Horgan. “We’re all looking forward to seeing what the rest of this year will bring.”
