Tesco Ireland takes home prestigious Monde awards for its Finest Steaks

Tesco took home four gold awards and one silver for steaks in its Finest Certified range

Tesco Ireland has received a number of top awards at the prestigious Monde Selection Awards in Brussels.

The retailer took home four gold awards for its Finest Certified Irish Angus beef Striploin Steak, its Finest Certified Irish Angus beef ribeye steak, and its Finest Certified Irish Angus Beef Sirloin steak, while its Finest Certified Irish Angus fillet steak was awarded silver.

The Monde Selection, also known as the World Quality Selections, is a global leader in evaluating the quality of consumer products. Awards are given to products based on quality and taste and must pass strict evaluation procedures and stringent standards.

“To win a gold medal in the Monde selection is a huge mark of appreciation, respect, and accreditation for your product. We are delighted that our Finest steak products have been recognised by Monde,” said Tesco Ireland, category director, fresh food, John Brennan.

The jury is composed of independent international experts in their own fields, including flavour technologists, Michelin-starred chefs, and professional food critics.
