From today onwards, Tesco shoppers in Ireland who are members of the supermarket’s Clubcard Rewards Programme* can avail of exclusive family entertainment and travel deals from two new partners, Disney+ and Hotels.com.

The announcement of two new Reward Partners comes as the latest Clubcard statement is due to land with loyal shoppers this week, just in time for back to school shopping. According to Tesco, this statement will give over €22 million in savings to 750,000 Clubcard customers throughout Ireland.

Disney+

With 70% of adults in Ireland saying that they have increased their family viewing time this year, it’s an apt time for Tesco to partner with Disney+.

As part of the new partnership, Tesco Ireland is offering Clubcard holders in Ireland the opportunity to exchange €9 worth of Clubcard vouchers for a full three-month subscription to the popular streaming service Disney+.

New and exclusive titles launching this month on Disney+ include Cruella (27 August), McCartney 3,2,1 (25 August), The Walking Dead (23 August) and Only Murders in the Building (31 August). These titles join hundreds of movies on Disney+ including Frozen, The Avengers: Endgame, Luca and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, all available to stream now.

Hotels.com

This year, households throughout Ireland have gotten behind the second season of summer holidaying at home and with 49% of consumers planning another domestic break before Christmas, demand for staycation-ing remains strong. Tesco has also partnered exclusively with Hotels.com, giving Clubcard members the chance to avail of €15 off at Hotels.com for every €5 Clubcard voucher earned.

With demand for staycations soaring over the past 18 months, the new partnership represents another way for shoppers to save even more. With the new Clubcard Reward Partner, Hotels.com, shoppers will get even better value with their vouchers for holidays, weekends away or midweek breaks wherever and whenever they decide to go.

“We are constantly reviewing and improving our Clubcard Reward Partner Programme,” said Cathal Deavy, customer director, Tesco Ireland. We’ve listened to our loyal Tesco Clubcard holders and we’re delighted to be able to offer Disney+ and Hotels.com as Reward Partners. This gives Clubcard holders the power to keep the whole family entertained for less, throughout the remainder of the summer holidays and beyond.”

Tesco Clubcard is free to join and enables members to collect points with their shopping at Tesco and with partners, Tesco Mobile, Bord Gáis Energy and Certa fuel stations. These points are converted into vouchers in every statement, and vouchers can be exchanged for greater than their value with the following Reward Partners: Milano, Dublin Zoo, Bord Gáis Energy, Tesco Mobile, Center Parcs, Odeon Cinemas, Irish Ferries and Stena Line.

As Tesco relaunches its Reward Partner programme, customers can expect to see changes to its website as well as changes to the programme itself. From 1 February 2022, in agreement with four key partners, Stena Line, Milano, Irish Ferries and Center Parcs, Clubcard vouchers will be worth three times their value instead of four times their value. Until 31 January 2022, Customers can still get four times the value by exchanging their Clubcard vouchers for those four partners. Customers will then have at least six months to spend their token with these Reward Partners.
