As part of Spar’s continued efforts to help keep families fit and healthy, a new Spar Better Choices campaign has been announced in association with Dublin footballer Ciarán Kilkenny.

The campaign looks to support families in choosing healthy active lifestyles with Ciarán Kilkenny setting a fun challenge for children to undertake with their family members. Throughout the month of November, Ciarán will release three different skills videos, which will show children how to improve their parents’ or other family members’ sporting abilities.

As well as skills, Ciarán will be on the look out for effort and enthusiasm from each family, with the winning child receiving a training session for their class with Ciarán Kilkenny*, while runners up, as selected by Ciarán, will receive sporting goods vouchers courtesy of Spar.

Details of the challenges, which can be completed in a garden or any compact outdoor area with minimal equipment, along with how to enter this competition are available on Spar’s social media pages and YouTube channel.

Ciarán Kilkenny said he is delighted to partner with Spar on the campaign which he hopes will help people “understand the importance of making good choices when it comes to our health and fitness.

“This is a really fun initiative to help children motivate their families to be active and I hope everyone enjoys it,” he added.

“It is a privilege for us to partner with a Gaelic games icon such as Ciarán to really drive our Better Choices campaign and highlight the importance of eating right and being active,” said Spar sales director, Colin Donnelly.

“Ciarán has already done a huge amount when it comes to promoting activity with children, particularly at a time when their training and games are uncertain, and we are delighted to be in a position to now reward those children who take part,” Donnelly added.

*(Please note this training session will be completed in accordance with government restrictions at the given time)
