leinsterhouse4leinsterhouse3RGDATA made a presentation at Leinster House last week on the value of local shops, which was attended by over 30 TDs and Senators.

Led by director general Tara Buckley, RGDATA highlighted the contribution of local shops and the need for support on cutting shop insurance costs; revitalising town centres and stopping the unfair structural separation proposal in the Public Health Alcohol Bill.

The independent retailers’ association has thanked all of its members who attended and “spoke passionately about running an independent shop in Ireland today”.

leinsterhouse2The full presentation can be viewed here. And following the logic that ‘a picture paints a 1,000 words’, we have included several photographs of the retailers who took part; ShelfLife would also like to extend a hearty congratulations to all involved.
