Two enterprising newsagents from Co. Monaghan, Philip Keegan and Padraig Lonergan, have set up a company called Kardz 4 Kidz in partnership with The Children’s Medical & Research Foundation at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

The foundation not only receives a guaranteed amount with the sale of every card but it will also get an equal share in any profits that the company makes with the directors.

The cards have been designed and produced fully in Ireland. In the range are 55 everyday greeting cards for special occasions such as weddings, births, 21st and general birthdays. The men are hoping to raise €250,000 a year for the foundation.

Although only on the road for four weeks there has been a huge response from the Irish retail network in stocking the cards.

The public has also responded well judging from the reorders the company is receiving. If you wish to stock the product please contact Philip Keegan and Padraig Lonergan at 087 4145294.
