AIB Merchant Services, Ireland’s largest payments solutions provider, has announced a twoyear partnership extension with retail industry representative body, Retail Excellence.

The agreement will see the fintech provider retain its position as exclusive payments partner to Retail Excellence and its 2,200 members, leading retail companies which operate in the Irish market.

The partnership will include significant investment in the AIB Merchant Services Retail Excellence Awards programme that runs throughout the year, culminating in the awards event that takes place on 12 November in the Galmont Hotel.

“I am delighted to renew this partnership with AIB Merchant Services, which offers our members the very best payment solutions portfolio on the market,” said Duncan Graham, managing director of Retail Excellence. “As we emerge from the pandemic, it is crucial that retailers can offer the best customer experience possible, and I am confident this deal will help deliver that.”

“With the use of card and payment apps continuing to accelerate, and the cultural shift of Irish SMEs online to maximise their presence during the pandemic, we know that Retail Excellence Ireland membership require excellence to maximise retail performance into the future,” added general manager of AIBMS, Hubert O’Donoghue.

“At AIB Merchant Services, we have robust solutions to meet that need, whether that is online, in-store or on the go. We are excited to further extend this partnership and look forward to working hand in hand together to deliver on-going excellence,” O’Donoghue said.
