Non-profit recycling group Repak, whose membership is made up of hundreds of businesses across Ireland, has been shortlisted in two prestigious award categories for its website at the 2017 eir Spiders. Repak.ie was named as a finalist in the categories for Best in User Experience and Best Campaign for Repak Recycle Week 2017 at this year’s event.

This success comes not long after Repak.ie was transformed earlier this year to coincide with the not-for-profit recycling scheme’ss twentieth anniversary. Amongst the elements of Repak.ie that were transformed include the platform’s design, pages and navigational capabilities, as well as the content currently housed on the site.

The eir Spiders honour the best in web-based business strategies of organisations and community groups across the island of Ireland. Judged by an independent panel of industry experts, each eir Spider award category distinguishes the best digital platforms in Ireland.

“We are delighted that the Repak website has been deemed best in class amongst experts in Ireland’s digital industry,” said Laura Sherry, Repak’s marketing and communications manager. “The eir Spiders are a benchmark for distinction in the digital space and it is very rewarding to be recognised for our online presence.

“Repak is committed to providing a best-in-class website experience for both our members and the general public,” Sherry continued. “We have made significant improvements with an overhaul of Repak.ie, having identified an increased demand for recycling and waste prevention information in an ever-changing digital landscape.
