Mondelēz Ireland: Unprecedented times show true value of local supermarket, wholesaler and convenience store

Having spent over 30 years in the Irish grocery market, I do not think I have ever been prouder of our industry than I have in recent weeks. Society has faced enormous challenges since early March, and it is incredible the role our industry has played in helping overcome these challenges. Retail outlets remaining open, with shelves full of our favourite brands, provides tremendous reassurance to people at this time of uncertainty. This is only possible because of the efforts and commitment of the people working within the industry.

From all at Mondelēz Ireland, we would like to offer a huge thank you to all our customers: retail workers, who are putting in an immense effort to ensure the nation is looked after. It goes beyond the service in-store; they are also going above and beyond to help protect the vulnerable and the elderly who may not have anyone else to lean on. These unprecedented times have shown the true value of the local supermarket, wholesaler and convenience store in every community in the country. I would also like to extend our gratitude to our own fantastic team, our frontline field sales team and our partners FMI.

– Eoin Kellett, managing director, Mondelēz Ireland

Aryzta Food Solutions Ireland: Health and safety take precedence as we remain dedicated to serving customers

Here at Aryzta Ireland, we are committed to playing our part as an essential industry providing food manufacturing and distribution services at this difficult time. Our teams in all areas of the business remain dedicated to serving our customers. As always, the health and safety of our people, suppliers and customers will take precedence as we navigate our way through this developing situation.

Barry & Fitzwilliam: Proud to be working together with retailers to keep shelves stocked

We at Barry & Fitzwilliam, Ireland’s premium wine, spirit and beer distributor, would like to extend our gratitude to all the frontline workers in Ireland.

From our suppliers, to our delivery drivers and the retailers, we can work together to keep the supply chain running as smoothly and efficiently as possible. We appreciate the hard work that is carried out by all during this unprecedented time.

We are proud to be working with retailers around the country and around the clock to help keep the shelves stocked. We at Barry & Fitzwilliam are actively working to ensure we fulfil our customers’ orders and continue the sales, movement and merchandising of wines, spirits and beers. We are constantly assessing our supply and demand plans based on the health and safety of our staff, the evolution of the virus, consumer demand, and shoppers’ buying habits, to help and support our customers. We are all in this together; we will get through this together. #TogetherIsBetter

We hope you and yours will emerge safely from this pandemic. #StaySafe

Mercury Systems: Retail colleagues have brought standards to a new level through Covid-19 response

Mercury Systems has always been aware of the versatility of the retail sector that we serve. However, to see our retail colleagues rise to the challenge of the Covid-19 crisis and adapt to follow the guidelines on social distancing, while keeping staff safe, brings standards to a new level.

We are here to maintain levels of service for those who might need it during this crisis and when it passes, Mercury will still be here to talk security solutions.

Nestlé: Genuine authentic response across the supply chain keeping Irish families well stocked and well supported

Across the world, the coronavirus is challenging so much of what we took for granted in our life, work and society. Every one of us has been impacted by this pandemic, which has changed so much in such a short amount of time. Working together is ensuring that our consumers continue to have the food they need and want. Everyone across the supply chain – from manufacturers, suppliers, distribution through to grocery retailers at the frontline, are going the extra mile to continue to serve our consumers in our communities.

Particular tribute goes to those working at the coalface, be that in our factories, supply chains and distribution centres, or in the retail sector. We know everyone is going the extra mile to keep people safe in the new reality of social distancing measures. At Nestlé Ireland, our team are working around the clock to ensure the steady supply of products across coffee, infant nutrition, confectionery, food, pet care and cereals into stores, in every part of the country. There is no doubt there is a genuine authentic response from everyone in our sector to do our best during this period. Working together, all of us will continue to keep Irish families well stocked and well supported during these unprecedented times.

Pat The Baker: Thank you for commitment and professionalism which is playing part in saving lives

We would like to express our thanks and gratitude to all our staff who have maintained our services over the past few weeks. Your commitment and professionalism in playing your part to save lives and supplying our customers with fresh bread every day is highly commendable; thank you. We would also like to extend our thanks to all the retail outlets and your staff who every day receive deliveries from us and keep our #sofreshitsfamous bread on your shelves for all our customers. #togetherisbetter

Irish Pride: “It’s a matter of pride” as nation comes together during crisis

There couldn’t be a better time to say “it’s a matter of pride” when we see the commitment from all our employees who have worked hard over these past few weeks to ensure safety in the workplace and still deliver fresh bread to our customers every day. To all the retail stores, we say thank you for support and keeping Irish Pride stocked on your shelves. As a nation we are taking pride, Irish Pride, in getting through this together because #togetherisbetter.

National Lottery: Retailers continuing to make dreams come true!

We want to thank you all in essential retail for your continued hard work as you remain open to protect and support the people of Ireland during these unprecedented times. Even in these testing times, our lucky players continue to win life-changing prizes while raising much-needed funds for Good Causes.

National Lottery products, including scratch cards, are still on sale in retail outlets that remain open to the public during the pandemic. The necessary preparations have been put in place so that all draw activity such as Lotto, EuroMillions, Daily Million and Telly Bingo can continue to take place as scheduled.

As per our usual claims process, prizes up to and including €100 may be claimed at any National Lottery agent store across the country, and you, the agent, may pay higher prizes (up to and including €2,500) at your discretion. The National Lottery claims department is available to discuss any of your claims-related queries by contacting claims@lottery.ie or calling 1800666222.

To offer further reassurance to players, we have extended the prize claim deadline for all of our games to 180 days to encourage people to stay at home and not require them to make any unnecessary journeys during the current public health emergency.

Our field sales team is in daily contact with our retail partners across the country to ensure they are stocked and informed on any developments around the sale and promotion of Lottery products during this crisis. The quickest and easiest way to keep up to date with our plans is by logging onto the National Lottery Retailer Portal: retailer.lottery.ie, by contacting your local National Lottery representative or you can contact our telesales team on telesales@lottery.ie.

These are unprecedented times, and it is a good time to remember the purpose of the National Lottery – to raise funds for Good Causes. Good Causes are at the heart of what the National Lottery does and it is particularly important, at this very challenging time for charities and community groups, that the Lottery continues to ensure funding for very important services. Each and every week, our players continue to raise approximately €4 million for Good Causes.
