Dave Edmond of The Angel in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, became an instant multi-millionaire recently when Punch Taverns deposited a trifling £429,496, 588.71 in his account. By accident.

The pub chain conglomerate had intended to pay him £112 for money made by a fruit machine on his premises but instead credited his account with the somewhat larger sum – more than I make in a month! – before realising its error and withdrawing the monies only seconds later.
Nevertheless, the ‘secondary’ millionaire intends framing the bank statement and putting it up in his pub….
