PRL Sponsors Pieta 100 Cycle 2018
Logistics and freight provider PRL has announced plans to give its support to the fourth annual Pieta 100 Charity Cycle, which takes place this September 9 in aid of the suicide prevention charity.

Logistric, freight and warehouseing provider PRL has been announced as proud sponsor of the fourth annual Pieta 100 Charity Cycle 2018, which takes place this year on September 9, the eve of World Suicide Prevention Day. The Pieta 100 starts and finishes at Leixlip Amenities in co. Kildare, taking in three counties along its 100km route. Since it was established in 2015, the event has raised over €250,000 for Pieta House since its inception in 2015 and PRL says it hopes to make this year’s cycle the most successful yet.
Having appointed Pieta House as its 2018 charity partner, PRL says it it committed to supporting the charity’s work in fighting suicide and self-harm. “We are thrilled and honoured to support the amazing work done by Pieta House by sponsoring this exciting event,” says PRL CEO Jack O’Riordan. “There are few people in this country who have not been touched by suicide or self-harm in some way, land everyone at PRL is immensely proud to be involved with Pieta House and to support the Pieta 100 Cycle.”
Pieta House Deputy Director of Fundraising & Advocacy, Marie Peelo, said having PRL as this year’s Pieta 100 Cycle sponsor means a great deal to the charity. “Since its inception, this event has allowed us to help over 250 people by providing them with free one-to-one therapeutic counselling. That is the lives of 250 people, their family and friends and colleagues, changed for the better.
“Without the support of PRL this event could not happen and in turn we could not help those of us in our communities who need our support,” Peelo added. “We are proud and privileged to have the support of such a fantastic organisation and we look forward to another very successful Pieta 100 Cycle in 2018.”
