Musgrave has announced the appointment of Patricia Blackshields as chief commercial officer.

Blackshields will hold executive responsibility for Musgrave’s Commercial function, including supplier partnerships, cost of goods, customer-focused initiatives, and the delivery of the Group’s sustainability and food safety agendas.

She will also sit on the Musgrave Executive Committee, contributing to enterprise strategy, long-term planning and the organisation’s ambition to be a world-class food and beverage business.

Wealth of experience

Blackshields brings 28 years of commercial experience within Musgrave, having previously served as director of Commercial Transformation and director of Commercial Strategy & Planning.

Before joining Musgrave, she worked with Ornua Foods UK, gaining valuable international experience in food operations and retail.

A graduate of University College Cork with a BSc in Food Business, she also holds an MBA in Retailing & Wholesaling from the University of Stirling and a Diploma in Coaching.

She has led major initiatives that strengthened supplier collaboration, enhanced cost competitiveness and delivered improved value propositions for customers across Musgrave’s retail, wholesale, foodservice and export channels.

‘Exceptional leadership’

Commenting on the appointment, Noel Keeley, CEO, Musgrave, said that Blackshields’ appointment ‘reflects her exceptional leadership and deep understanding of Musgrave’s business’.

“During her wide-ranging career with Musgrave, she has played a key role in strengthening our commercial capability, building strong supplier partnerships, and delivering value for our customers and retail partners,” he said.

“I am delighted to welcome her to the role of chief commercial officer and to the Musgrave Executive Committee.”
