One-third of the total visitors for the year came from the US but it’s also popular among British, Scandinavian, French and German tourists.

John Callely, Managing Director of Watercourse Distillery (which operates the Old Jameson Distillery in Dublin and the Jameson Experience in Midleton, County Cork) said, “These results reflect an increase in tourists visiting Dublin last year and also the global increase in the popularity of Jameson Whiskey”.

The Old Jameson Distillery was established in 1780 when John Jameson established Dublin’s Bow Street Distillery. Jameson is now distilled in Cork although bottling still takes place in Dublin. With annual sales of over 31 million bottles, Jameson is by far the world’s best-selling Irish whiskey. For more information visit: www.tours.jamesonwhiskey.com
