19958 noffla entry form 2013NOffLA members are reminded that round two of the Off-Licence of the Year Awards scheme runs from Monday, 8 September to Friday, 3 October 2014. The final will be held in Dublin on Monday, 26 January 2015.

Entrants are reminded of the opportunity for your business from the adjudication process alone. Having entered the competition, the real “victory” is to capitalise on the opportunity of preparing one’s business for assessment in this scheme. Given the demands of the independent off-trade, one rarely gets an opportunity to take a good hard look at one’s business. Have you made time to take an objective perspective on how you might improve things? Have you considered how your outlet actually compares with others in the industry? The assessment and adjudication process provides these opportunities.

Last year’s winners, Brendan and Sinead O’Reilly, of Dicey Reilly’s Off-Licence in Letterkenny, are in no doubt as to the benefits of participating in the awards scheme: “This has helped us immensely in both maintaining and increasing our standards, product range and product knowledge, whilst always striving for excellence. 2013 was not an easy year for any independent off-licence and we are truly delighted to receive our award. We are so happy for our team who work very hard, and feel very privileged when looking at the list of finalists that we received The National Off-Licence of the Year 2014.”
