The Sunday Business Post is launching a refreshed and reinvigorated paper from this Sunday (17 November).

This new look will make the paper more attractive and accessible for readers and increase its presence on the shelf on Sundays.

The Sunday Business Post was rescued from examinership in June by a corsortium consisting of Key Capital and Paul Cooke (formerly MD of Independent Star Limited, the publisher of the Irish Daily Star). While set to feature a new design on Sunday, the paper will retain its existing package of news, commentary and analysis, while building on some new elements.

The newspaper’s second section has now been renamed Money Plus. In a press statement, the group said this will contain the best personal finance advice, a new focus on investment, as well as technology, expanded coverage of small businesses and a new sports column on the back page. It promises to present the best business, economic and political coverage on Sundays in a fresh new format, together with a 48 page lifestyle magazine.

Backed by an extensive marketing strategy including profuse out-of-home and radio campaigns, The Sunday Business Post said: "We have every confidence that the new look design will be a success for both readers and news agents alike. This new-look will give readers the same cutting edge journalism in a clean new layout, making The Sunday Business Post easier to read than ever before."

In its weekly newsletter to members, the Convenience Stores and Newsagents Association (CSNA) advised retailers "to ensure that the title receives prominent positioning to attract maximum interest".
