Mt Gambier awarded regional status

The Mt Gambier wine region of Australia has been awarded ‘Geographic Indication’ status by the Australian Wine & Brandy Corporation which means that local winemakers will be able to use the name ‘Mt Gambier’ on their labels to distinguish themselves from other regions such as Coonawarra on Australia’s Limestone Coast.
