Mixologists, cast your lot with the Disarrono Mixing Star competition

Following in the footsteps of great bartenders such as the winner of the first Disaronno competition George Bagos from Greece (who flew to Hollywood and played the role of a bartender on the US TV show ‘How I Met Your Mother’) and following too in the footsteps of the Italian winner of the second competition, Francesco Cione. who’ll soon find himself in hectic Mumbai and the enchanted world of Bollywood, the 2013 casting is open around the world to find the new Disarrono Mixing Star.

The Irish leg takes place at No 37 Dawson Street, Dublin, on 8th April.

The international competition focuses on creating the best cocktail celebrating the mixability of Disaronno as well as that inclination to performance and entertainment that exists in every bartender.

The competition involves live casting on a ‘movie set’ during which the bartenders showcase their original cocktail, performing in front of cameras and a jury comprising stellar gurus of mixology and journalists from around the world. For the first time, exclusively for Disaronno Mixing Star, the bartenders will receive an Acting Masterclass from an actor.

The winners of the castings will compete in the Global Final in one of the International bartending capitals.

The 14 countries involved comprise Australia, Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Italy, the UK, Russia, Spain, Sweden and the US.

The winner will enjoy the world of Cinema at the 70th Annual Venice Film Festival 2013 showcasing his/her Disaronno Signature cocktail for the celebrities on the famous Red Carpet.
