Maxol Ardbrae has reopened its doors with several in-store upgrades including new food offerings and customer seating, following a substantial investment of €1.7 million.

New food offerings include the introduction of a new Maxol Deli and Mexican food offering – Taste of Mexi-Co – which gives customers a choice of freshly made sandwiches or burritos from early morning to evening.

There are now eight additional car parking spaces, as well as a new 26-customer seating area, free Wi-Fi and the introduction of Maxol’s new premium fuel range. Improvements have also been made to the car wash facility.

The new and improved Maxol Ardbrae, located on Vevay Road, Bray, Co Wicklow, reopens as licensee Jim Shanahan celebrates almost 40 years with the company.

“We are thrilled to reopen our doors and welcome back our customers,” said Jim Shanahan. “The last few months have been challenging for all of us in many ways and we are very delighted to be in a position where we can offer an improved customer experience with two  new food offerings and a brand new seating area, which will of course be managed in line with current social distancing rules.”

The latest investment brings an improved service amenity to the community of Bray, along with visitors to the town and commuters and has resulted in the creation of ten new jobs for the area.

The transformation is part of The Maxol Group’s national multi-million-euro investment plan across its network. This year seven sites will be fully refurbished to the latest Maxol forecourt and instore design.

Speaking of the company’s latest investment, Brian Donaldson, CEO of The Maxol Group said: “Firstly, I’d like to say a big thank you to Jim for his commitment and  stellar work he has done for Maxol for nearly 40 years. Today’s announcement is also significant for us given the challenging climate of late. Despite the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic affecting most businesses in Ireland, we are pleased to continue our national investment programme, introducing our premium fuels and improving our in-store food offer to customers across the country.

“We very much look forward to bringing our latest innovative forecourt model to the community of Bray, and with Jim at the helm, they are certainly in good hands.”
