Estrella Damm brings taste of Barcelona to Ireland

Irish consumers have voted Barcelona as Europe’s coolest city, according to new research* by premium world beer brand Estrella Damm, which has just launched on draught in Ireland. Distributed by Molson Coors, Estrella Damm, the beer of Barcelona, was created by the Damm family in 1876. The premium beer has been winning awards across the globe ever since, using only 100% natural ingredients. There are two additional beers in the range. Inedit Damm, specifically designed to pair with fine food and gluten-free Daura Damm.

Aldi sponsors National Brown Bread Baking Competition

Aldi Stores (Ireland) will once again this year sponsor the National Brown Bread Baking Competition, in association with the National Ploughing Association (NPA) and the Irish Countrywomen’s Association (ICA). Relaunched last year by the NPA, the event was a huge success with the final held in the Aldi Marquee at the National Ploughing Championships. Aldi will also sponsor the National Junior Baking Competition, in association with youth organisation Foróige.

Hennessy celebrates 250 years with gala dinner

Hennessy celebrated its 250th anniversary in style, with an exclusive gala dinner, which took place in Dublin city hall on Wednesday, 22 April, 2015. Bernard Peillon, president and CEO of Hennessy and Andy O’Hara, ‎CEO at Edward Dillon, welcomed 100 specially invited guests, as well as Hennessy representatives from Cognac including Richard Hennessy’s eighth descendent, Maurice Hennessy and RTE’s Miriam O’Callaghan, who acted as MC at the event.
