Redbreast 12 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, crafted by Irish Distillers in Midleton, Co. Cork, has won the World Whisky Trophy at the prestigious International Wine and Spirit Competition. Now in it’s 50th year, the competition awarded Redbreast 12 Year Old with its highest honour after it scored 98 points, continuing its legacy as the most decorated single pot still Irish whiskey in the world.

Aldi launches comprehensive back to school range

Aldi’s famed “middle aisle” is set to be packed with all the things returning school kids will need as a comprehensive back to school range launches in stores nationwide. The range includes “the write stuff”: novelty pens, pencils, erasers, notebooks and more; hi-tech accessories including wireless headphones and an all-in-one printer, clothing essentials, accessories for teenagers and much more. The back to school range launches in Aldi stores on 22 August.

Nespresso takes capsule recycling for a spin

As consumers seek ways to live more sustainably than ever, Nespresso has parntered with Swedish bike brand Velosophy to produce a bicycle made entirely from recycled aluminium coffee capsules. The high-quality, lightweight bicycle is intended to show the power and potential of recycling, and just 1,000 have been made (so far). For each bike sold, the companies will donate another to a schoolgirl in africa in order to promote access to education.
