CÎROC Vodka presents The Summer Series at Everleigh

Connemara Mussel Festival 2019 set for May 3rd – 5th

The upcoming Connemara Mussel Festival  is set to feature an exciting programme of chefs, cookery demonstrations and competitions, along with artists, theatre, music and more. Chefs appearing at the event will include JP McMahon and Jack Duffy, while the theme for the festival will be “Vitamin Sea”. Whiskey and tea blending masterclasses coming to Dublin and Galway

Bushmills Irish Whiskey has marked the return of its Black Bush Stories campaign for 2019 by announcing a collaboration with specialist tea makers, Suki Tea. The collaboration will see Oscar Woolle, co-founder of the Irish tea company, join Bushmills to host a series of whiskey and tea blending masterclass events across Ireland in April and May. ‘Black Bush Blended’ will take place at Drury Buildings in Dublin, on 30th April and 1st May, and Galway on 2 May at Tribeton, offering whiskey lovers an opportunity to truly understand the synergy between the arts of blending whiskey and tea. A week-long fiesta of Spanish wines is taking place at Galway’s multi-award-winning Cava Bodega restaurant from 8 – 14 April to celebrate Spanish Wine Week 2019. Cava Bodega is giving diners the opportunity to indulge their interest in and passion for Spanish wines, as well as exploring the culinary links between Spain and Ireland. Over the course of the week, Cava Bodega is offering natural, organic and biodynamic Spanish wines carefully matched with local Irish shellfish tapas – including oysters, razor clams, and langoustines – cooked with an Iberian influence. Nüdest breaks into UK health market with premium London listing

All-natural healthy snack pouch Nüdest has secured a premium London listing to build its growing presence in the UK market. Defying Brexit-based uncertainty but capitalising on consumers’ desire to make better choices, Nüdest has been added by trail-blazing London health store Thornton’s Bugden’s to its prestigious roster of healthy snacks. The listing was secured after a chance meeting between Irish owner Andrew Thornton owner and Nüdest founder Fiona Keane at a product tasting, where he tried the innovative all-natural wholefood superblend for the first time.

Deliveroo marks supporting 590 Irish jobs and adding €48m in revenue to the Irish economy

A major, new economic study shows the significant economic contribution made by Deliveroo, the food delivery company, to the Irish economy during 2018. According to the report over 40% of the over 800 Irish restaurants that Deliveroo partners with, reached new markets. Almost one in ten of these restaurants expanded their offerings, and 5% of all partners opened a new premises. The advent of food delivery has changed the face of the Irish food industry, giving restaurants the opportunity to reach new customers without having to operate a delivery service themselves.
