Tesco launches new eco-friendly cleaning range

An increase in demand for eco-friendly products across the board has led Tesco to develop its new Eco Active range, a line of seven cleaning products that minimise environmental impact through their components, effectiveness, packaging and recycling capabity. On top of that, the company says, it will help save in consumers’ pockets too.  All the products are recyclable with the bottles containing up to 45 per cent recycled plastic.

Black Tower launches new low-alcohol wine range

Wine lovers who want to take it easy this Christmas and New Year will love B by Black Tower, the low calorie and low alcohol wine range.  Available in White and Rose, B by Black Tower is only 5.5% vol and is also lower in calories with just 55 calories per 125ml glass – 30% fewer calories than a standard glass of wine. Its makers knowingly refer to it as low-alcohol wine that actually tastes like wine!
Maxol marks 25 year anniversary of IURU sponsorship with Rugby Festival

Maxol marked twenty-five years of sponsorship of the Irish University Rugby Union at the recent IURU Rugby Festival. A range of intervarsity comptitions took place, with universities and colleges from across Ireland clashing in the Maughan Scally Cup, played as part of the tournament since 2010. Ulster University Coleraine defended its title, knocking out northern rivals Queen’s University Belfast.

Wine & Spirits ranks De Martino among the world’s top 100 wineries

Family winery De Martino, has been included in the “Top 100 Wineries of the Year” listing drawn up by Wine & Spirits magazine. This is a significant achievement for De Martino which proudly produces “wines of great
purity, balance and sense of place”. According to the Wine & Spirits’ 31st Annual Buying Guide, “if the Chilean wine scene is now focussing on presenting wines with a sense of place, exploring new regions and rediscovering forgotten grapes, this path has been forged by De Martino”.
