Orla’s ‘Fabulous Fowl’ flies into first place!

Orla Dunleavey, from Ballinrobe, County Mayo was crowned the winner of the Moy Park sponsored ‘Fabulous Fowl’ category at the recent Easy Food Home-Cook Hero Awards, sponsored by Kenwood. Orla’s oriental inspired dish ‘Chinese Kung Pao Chicken’ beat off stiff competition from fellow finalists Karen Coakley and Cathy Coley. As Ireland’s number one chicken brand, Moy Park was delighted to be a sponsor for the third year running.

Insomnia Coffee celebrates the #TasteofChristmas

Insomnia Coffee hosted an evening of music, festive flavour and cheer at its Chatham Row Store on Thursday, 22 November. Guests were able to taste Insomnia producers’ products from Red Velvet Cake, Spiced Apple Pastry, Nutcracker Brownie, Pecan & Mince Almond Tart, Salted Caramel Pistachios & Cranberry Slice and festive favourites, Gingerbread Man and Minced Pies. Insomnia also launched its new Christmas Sandwich, the Festive Feast.

Maxol’s Wash for Wishes returns

Maxol is pleased to announce the return of ‘Wash for Wishes’ Carwash Week in support of its charity partner Make-A-Wish-Ireland. The carwash promotion will run from this Saturday 22 November through to Sunday 30 November. €2 from every carwash will be donated directly to Make-A-Wish Ireland. All Wash for Wishes money raised will help Make-A-Wish to reach its 2014 target of granting 210 wishes; a 60% increase on last year.

Rentokil Initial launches Christmas scent range

Nearly half of Irish people say their favourite festive smell is the scent of a real Christmas tree, according to a survey Rentokil Initial has taken as its range of Christmas scents is launched. Rentokil Initial Christmas scenting range includes Iced Gingerbread, Christmas Tree, Coffee Supreme and Chocolate Chip Cookie and these are already used in hotels and shops around Ireland, where ambient scenting has been proven to increase sales by up to 19%.

Farmbake unveils a festive range of luxurious seasonal cakes and treats
