FAI teams up with isotonic drink; iPro Sport

The Football Association of Ireland has announced a new multi-year partnership with iPro Sport, as the preferred sports drink partner of the FAI. The sponsorship will see iPro Sport provide isotonic drinks for the Republic of Ireland senior men’s and women’s international teams, as well as each of the underage teams. In addition to supplying all international teams, iPro Sport will proudly support the domestic game by providing SSE Airtricity League clubs with isotonic sports drinks and include iPro Sport branding at all League stadiums.

O’Brien Fine Foods launches Homebird

O’Brien Fine Foods unveiled Homebird, a new entry into the convenience, cooked meats category and the only Irish brand to offer 100% Bord Bia approved sliced Irish chicken and turkey. Homebird is produced by three families, who are long-established in the Irish fresh food industry: Created by O’Brien Fine Foods, the people behind the Brady Family brand, who are experts in cooking great tasting, quality meats since 1978. The Irish chicken is sourced from Manor Farm, industry experts since 1775, and the turkey comes from Hogan’s Farm, experts in the business since 1962.

Sensodyne launches new formulation for relief of sensitivity pain

GSK has unveiled its latest advanced formulation for Sensodyne Rapid Relief toothpaste, which is engineered to provide fast relief from sensitivity pain. From Ireland’s number one selling sensitive toothpaste brand, Sensodyne Rapid Relief will be available in stores with new ingredients and a pack design from June. The launch will be supported by a €600K media investment and shopper marketing plan which will go live from the beginning of July.

 

 

“Commotion Lotion” Buckfast-infused beer launches

Irish band King Kong Company and YellowBelly Beer (Gold Medal Winners Alltech International Beer Cup 2017) have joined forces to launch a Buckfast infused beer for festival season. It’s called Commotion Lotion, and everyone involved is deranged with excitement about it, but possibly a little reluctant to share this limited edition brew! “One bulging eyed brewer had to be dragged out from under a tank, cradling a slab of cans, hissing “preciousssssss” as the things were being loaded into a delivery van,” the company said in a tongue-in-cheek press release.

Teeling Whiskey Sizzles into summer with Spirit of Dublin Summer Craft Fair

Teeling Whiskey has announced that on Saturday 8 July, a host of Ireland’s most exciting artisan producers will once again return to the Teeling Whiskey Distillery for the Spirit of Dublin Summer Craft Fair. The event will run from 10am-5.30pm and is free of charge for all attendees. In total, 35 of Ireland’s finest food and drinks producers will be exhibiting at the event, showcasing their creations under one roof with something for everyone. The Teeling Whiskey team will also be on hand to make sure visitors enjoy a delicious Irish whiskey with a sample of their carefully crafted cocktails.

 

Food on the Edge event officially launched

The principal theme of this year’s Food On The Edge symposium was announced as Action: Reaction at the official Irish launch held on 19 June, in Hatch & Sons, St Stephen’s Green, Dublin. Food On The Edge is an annual two-day symposium held in the city of Galway. The symposium’s aim is to generate debate, discussion and thought leadership on the future of food both in the industry and on the planet. The 2017 dates are October 9 and 10.
