Maggie Timoney to replace David Ford at Heineken Ireland
Maggie Timoney is to replace David Ford as Managing Director at Heineken Ireland. Originally from Mayo, Maggie has had wide experience of handling Heineken around the world and is leaving her post as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, at Heineken USA to come to Ireland at the beginning of May.

A BA & MBA graduate of Iona College in New Rochelle, she starred in the women’s basketball team at Iona, setting a school career scoring record and gaining entrance to the Iona College Sports Hall of Fame.
A native of Ballina , she also captained the Irish National Women’s Basketball Team. She began her Heineken career in 1998 at Heineken USA as Planning and Coordination Manager for National Sales and also served as Senior Manager for Strategic Planning & Distribution during her tenure. She was promoted to Business Manager in Distributor Management at the Heineken Export Group in the Netherlands in 2001 and also served as International Distribution Manager and Manager for Channel Sales and Distribution at Heineken International. In 2006, she was appointed General Manager of Heineken Canada. In that role, she presided over substantial growth, attaining top 10 market status for the Canadian operation. Prior to Heineken, she’d served in executive positions at Sound Distributing, an Anheuser-Busch wholesaler in metropolitan New York including three years as Vice President for Sales as well as working at E&J Gallo Winery.
She currently resides in Connecticut with her husband and two children.
