Kelsius has announced the appointment of Eamonn Quinn as non-executive chairman of its board of directors and Fintan Moran as advisor to the board.

Quinn is a former director of Superquinn the company founded by his father, Senator Fergal Quinn. Since the sale of the business Quinn has been active in managing the Quinn family’s investment portfolio, a number of private investments including ventures related to the global food retail sector, and is also chairman of technology start-ups Nualight and Identigen.

Quinn’s career began in investment banking, after which he held a series of senior executive management roles in Superquinn. He has held leading representative positions on many international food retail industry bodies including Paris-based supermarket organisation C.I.E.S. and the USA based Operating Executives Council of the Food Marketing Institute.

Fintan Moran has been appointed as advisor on food safety at Kelsius. With qualifications in both commercial horticulture and law, Moran has worked at a senior level in both the private sector and in education in the public sector. He devised and set up the M.Sc. Programme in Food Safety Management based upon the recommendations of the EU White Paper on Food Safety, the genesis of all of the new EU Food Safety Legislation. The course was the first in Ireland and one of the first in the world to specifically address food safety from an integrated techno-professional approach.
