Kellogg’s has announced that it will sponsor the RTÉ One soap, Fair City for the duration of 2009, commencing on Thursday 1 January. The partnership represents a E1million investment by Kellogg’s and includes the production of 10 advertising stings.

The stings, which were shot on location in Palma, Mallorca, were directed by Leo Burnett and centre around 10 different typical family scenes. Each scene is depicted as a TV ‘set’ being constructed, reflecting Kellogg’s new relationship with Fair City. The sponsorship deal was negotiated by Mindshare on behalf of Kellogg’s.

Jim McNeill, Managing Director, Kellogg’s said, “Our new relationship with Fair City, a much loved Irish family drama, is a perfect fit with Kellogg’s own heritage of family values. We’re looking forward to this partnership between Ireland’s leading breakfast cereal company and the nation’s most popular Irish soap.”
